Purple Pippa Peplum

Having two kids and trying to start a blog is no joke! Somedays finding the time to sew is very difficult. I've been making it a must to sit down for at least one hour a day and accomplish something. Whether that be taping patterns, cutting out fabric or actually sewing. I feel so much better once I just do it.

This week I was completing a pattern test and I cannot wait to share it with you! But until then, here is this lovely pattern from the amazing Kate at See Kate Sew

I have been following Kate's blog for quite some time, and she never ceases to amaze me with her endless creativity and  wonderful patterns. The Pippa Peplum is a cute knit top for little girls. It has been sitting in my sew stash for quite some time; I even have had the fabric cut for about a month! But we have a dinner date tonight with friends, and I just had to sew up something for Cora.

What I love about Kate's patterns is that they are very simple to follow. She lays everything right out there for you, with step by step illustrations too. Basically the Pippa Peplum is fool proof! I would recommend it for a confident beginner for sure. If you would like to purchase the pattern you can click here and the link will take your right to her fabulous shop.

The fabric is from a shirt I decided to upcycle. The neat thing about thrifting is that you can get some good wear from a top, then do something like this later on down the road. I absolutely loved the shade of purple and knew it had to be transformed into something. It matches pretty well with the leggings I made for C, but that is for another post!

If you noticed my label, I followed one of Kate's awesome tutorials on how to make your own clothing tags! You can click here to learn how to create your own :)

And that is it for today my friends. Hope you enjoyed my little piece of purple here on the blog!
