Ansley by Blaverry Pattern Tour

Tuesday, November 4, 2014

Are you ready for another pattern review?! Today is all about the Ansley pattern, one of the newest from Blaverry.  But before we begin, be sure to stop by the other amazing bloggers on the tour for some Ansley inspiration, and take advantage of the coupon code "ILOVEBLAVERRY10".

If you are wanting a pattern with endless options, then the Ansley is the one for you. Christie includes 72 pages of options to be precise, but they are tiled AND layered, so this means no wasted paper! Perfect huh? You can go super simple like I did in the tunic for Cora, or go all out with the hi-low hem, peter pan collar and gorgeous sleeve cuffs.

I haven't sewn many patterns where the front opens rather than the back, but it adds a really nice touch to the top. Since the pattern requires buttons, I opted for snaps because of Cora's age and eagerness to put things in her mouth... all the time!

We sewed up a size 12 mo, but could have gotten away with the 6 mo. If the Ansley is meant to be more lose fitting, then the size we sewed works great! Cora was super comfortable in it, and that is all that matters :)
