Our dinner date was a success! Cora looked absolutely darling in her stylish little outfit. Not gonna lie, it is challenging trying to photograph a 9w old baby who doesn't sit up. So I will spare you the attempt I made and just show you some pictures on how the rest of the fit came together.
Tada! Aren't these little pants just the cutest?! I could seriously sit and make baby leggings all day long. They are super easy to whip up when you are getting ready to pack up the kids and head out the door. Really... they took about 15 minutes. Easy!
The Purple Pippa Peplum and these leggings go hand in hand. These are going to become a staple in C's wardrobe for sure. I cant resist how both garments come together with such ease, and with KCW approaching fast both patterns are are must for this seasons sew along. This will be my first KCW and I am eagerly awaiting its arrival. I will be spending the week busily working on taping patterns and cutting fabric to prepare. Can you feel the excitement brewing?!
The fabric was a jersey knit that I purchased from Denver Fabrics in February. It has all the characteristics of spring in the color palate. You can accent the green or gold tones, even the brown. Possibilities are endless! Right now it is priced at $4.45/yd and you can't beat that for some fun, knit print. Click here to check it out.
I self drafted the leggings using a pair of Cora's that she had laying around. This was the first pattern I have ever attempted to draft, and I am happy with how it turned out. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Going to challenge myself a bit and really try to draft more patterns for the girls.
And there you have it! A simple yet spring inspired outfit for miss C. I hope you like this floral, because I have about 2yds left so get ready to see more of it :)
